A nice list to start from, just a few minor remarks/ suggestions: I think it is good to add some identity service providers as well. DigiNotar is an established trusted identity provider offering managed PKI and authentication services. Maybe it is a good idea to include this category. From the EU federation products I miss the rising opensource platform from norway: SimpleSamlPhP: http://rnd.feide.no/simplesamlphp They have a wide support for openid, saml, aselect, shiboleth and ws fed. Last but not least it would be nice to include Evidos. I started this company in January on the basis of my 10 year experience within DigiNotar. Evidos helps organisation for projects around digital identity (Both company or public) and e-signatures. A special niche focus within this area is the Mobile Phone (Wireless PKI, SMS authentication, signing and Secure file transfer)
