Does it bug you when over zealous IT professionals try to blow a simple Proof of Concept lab test in a full blown Pilot, when the requirements of the new IAM system are still unclear, let alone far from implemented? Join discussion...

In this paper I triedto do a digest of the different terms, so that when you are tired at the end of the day or have to do a quick preparation for an IAM workshop you can get the concepts straight in your head once more. Do you agree with the definitions approach? Join discussion...

Would you outsource your Identity and Access Management?

We start to see it happen and I know at least one Indian company that claim they have the largest number of IAM implementations under their belt of one of the main stream IAM vendors. What do you see as the barriers and solutions to outsourcing what in fact is an important part of your security to a company that may be on the other side of the world? Join discussion...

In June 2002 I was interviewed by Computing Magazine. This resulted in a widely quoted headline “Users must wait for PKI benefits”. Where are we today seven years later? What has been your experience? Join discussion...

Why it is easier to rob a bank, than to open a bank account
http://www.bloglines.com/blog/Marcus-Lasance?id=39

As and ex-pat IT contractor, I just moved from Belgium to the Netherlands. Although my Bank operates in both countries I find it nigh impossible to move my account or open a new one. What are your experiences? Would having an Identity Service Provider in the cloud backing up my identity claim help? Join discussion...

IAM as a service, is it financially, technically viable?

Association of buzz words: SaaS, Software as a Service, IaaS Identity Management as a Service. Service oriented Architectures, SOA great, but IAM as a web service ? I don't think so! Managed Information Cards as IaaS I could see happening Join discussion...
